Mclean sent all but two teams to ECNL nationals. Its oldest team played in the final again. Several players made the all conference and were selected to the Id2 camp.
Look, dilution is hitting clubs but clubs like FCV and Mclean are in a position to do well. Stop with the hating.
Was your kid on any of those teams?
No but I have watched them play.
The reality is that the number of clubs is increasing , which provides more opportunities for players at smaller clubs. The top ranked MRM Rush team that left for Bethesda Soccer did so because the players and coaches wanted an elite platform. So MRM Rush lost. The 05 McLean team gained players from DC Stoddert. FCV picked off a few girls from ODFC in the 05 and 06 years. FCV also picked off a few players from 05 Loudoun before that team joined FCV. The DA/ECNL expansion gave non-ECNL/DA clubs opportunities.

To many on this forum, unless it is attached to a National Championship, it is worthless.
FCV is a pressure cooker and all the coaches suck according to this board.
Reality is that the best players predominately play at FCV. The club produces the best teams across the board. You won't find a 'weak' age group.
Then I'm sure FCV will be eager to put together some pre-season scrimmages against local ECNL teams. Let's make good use of that new facility already.

Very high!
She will become a college coach by 2021 so she can recruit some 2022’s.
Fired by George mason. Failed at coaching middle schoolers for McLean. Who would make that hire?
She resigned from GMU. https://gomason.com/news/2014/12/15/209808890.aspx
McLean is a good ECNL team. Read other threads and posters claim top 10. She was a big part of that development for the older teams now doing so well.
So much misinformation on this site. Trolls or incompetence, one or the other.
Hahahahahahaha. She is back on DCUM ladies and gentlemen. Those older McLean teams were good before her and have been good after.
Let's see how McLean does after this oldest team graduates. The younger teams are not nearly as strong.
I believe McLean 06 was the worst team in ECNL nationwide.
Don't know, but after the top team graduated this year, they have 1 good team left. That team didn't do too well either at Nationals (0-2-1 I think). But after the current U18/19 team leaves, the cupboards are bare.
Meh, they still have the ninth best record nationwide across all ages in ECNL. Dilution in the area is real and affects all local teams so it is unlikely that McLean will be as prolific in the years ahead, but methinks you have an axe to grind.

Didn't the club send teams to nationals in every age group but u13 and u15? What is your definition of a good team? I would argue that any team that can compete and win against national (top 25) competition is a good team and multiple McLean ECNL teams fit that definition.
