Hunting is not classy. At all.
Foxhunting is! And killing the fox isn't the goal. But shining up my pony and tack, putting on my pink and raising a stirrup cup is the best. Truly nothing more glorious that riding out at dawn before the world is truly awake and the dew is still moistly holding the foxes scent. The sights and sounds of the hounds working the scent. The entire experience is amazing. And at the end, we make the horses comfortable and tuck in for a fabulous hunt brunch. Unparalleled.
So you still kill the fox?

And art on the walls rather than photographs of the couple everywhere (a definite sign of low class).
I could not disagree with the clutter bit more. Some of the most cultured and intelligent people have houses filled with random treasures, often heirlooms or from trips. It is only clutter to the uncurious mind.

Could you please give me your take on Kate Middleton (raised UMC) and Meghan Markle (raised MC/WC). Even though they are royals now, you have implied in previous posts that a person never changes from the class in which they were raised.
I have only recently started following the BRF since we now have a black American princess. I have a lot of connection to Europe and some time immersed in British culture. So I can answer questions about British class, but place less confidence in these insights.
No one can change their class. But hot women, who are intelligent and highly socially aware, can fake it til they make it. In fact, being a hot woman with a messy upbringing is its own form of sexy to the very rich man, who feels slighted and misunderstood in spite of the world being at his feet. My prediction is that between KM and MM, MM will be more popular and have more gravitas bc she is more authentic, which the rich love. KM is a good con artist.
DP. Does anybody remember that brief hiatus Will and Kate took before getting back together and getting engaged? For some weird reason I remember the British UC snarking about Kate being middle class. I particularly remember (because I have a Barbour jacket) someone snarking that “Kate knows how to wear her Barbour jacket just right, but she’ll never be one of us.” Ouch.
I wonder what they say about Meghan Markle.
Side note: one of William’s former flames, Isabella Calthorpe, married Richard Branson’s son. She is sisters with Cressida Bonas, Harry’s former girlfriend. They have titles, but Branson is loaded, so maybe it doesn’t matter that Branson wasn’t Aristocratic.
Sir Richard Branson

Horse person, you should make a reality show about billionaire horse people and the hustlers who swindle them by overcharging for horses. Make sure to emphasize the cocaine. I'd binge watch that.
Thx but I'm telling you it's been done better and it is called Riders. If you are mildly interested in horses and have a beach in your future, you're welcome.
