That said, some club in Maryland will get DA. I would agree with previous poster about Baltimore Armour or another conglomerate being created between Pipeline/SAC similar to Armour. They have some time to figure it out. Just depends on the egos involved...
Virginia is already saturated with ECNL/DA. I would be surprised if Great Falls could keep it going after '19/'20.
Moving on.
Why would they cut it if it is self sufficient and not really affecting Spirit's bottom line in a negative sense?

I would love it if you could actually itemize this and breakdown the costs and expenses so that this truth can truly be exposed.
I'll wait.
NWSL slapped spirit ownership on the wrist because this was happening and not allowed. NWSL is setup like the nba or nfl with profit sharing. The youth soccer revenue did not go into the central pot which is not allowed.
Spirit owner and CEO have no say if US Soccer kicks Spirit VA out of the DA. It’s not their decision. It’s USSDA’s.

Or just use your common sense: why would any business that is operating on razor-thin margins continue to subsidize a loss-leading operation?
I wish the state of the women's professional league was otherwise, and that Spirit was making money hand-over-fist and could sink serious funds into a true youth academy, like some of the MLS teams are doing on the men's side and like clubs do in Europe. But that unfortunately is not yet the case for Spirit. The Washington Post and other publications have written stories about Spirit's finances. If its various youth programs were not helping Spirit's bottom line, then any sane business person would cut those youth programs and focus on improving profitability of the pro team's operations.
However, that is not the case, and Spirit's youth programs are currently helping the bottom line. And that is a good thing. Both for the future viability of the pro team, as well as the continuation of Spirit's DA youth operations.
Untwist your linens and realize that not every comment about Spirit is negative or a troll job.

Still waiting on your itemization of the expenses.
while you completely ignore everything else accurate about it. the "itemization" is irrelevant.
DA is dropping Spirit in MD, and Baltimore Armour will take on the Girls DA. Id bet on it.
