Either Trump signs this before he leaves for Mar-A-Lago, or else he will live with optics of his fun in the sun while the government is 'closed."
Worse than that. Interior isn’t funded. So all the Americans headed to federal parks for Christmas just had their plans cancelled. Plus the Smithsonian, the national monuments, etc. While Trump golfs and the secret service guards him, but does not get paid. It does not get any more “let them eat cake” than that.
Remember the 2013 shutdown where the 90 year old WWII vets were not able to see the memorial? Now imagine if on top of that, it was peak tourist season in lots of the national parks. And Obama was in Hawaii golfing and ignoring the problem. And was proudly calling it the obama shutdown. The blowback will be ugly.
Obama wouldnt sign it because it wasn't a clean budget but revoked Obamacare. Americans like Obamacare; he was absolutely right not to let Republicans put poison pills in the budget.

This whole disaster of a "presidency" is nothing but a show -- and a really, really bad one.
That said, he will go to Mar-a-Lago no matter what. They'll just spin it as the "Southern White House."
Like when Obama and Michelle took two planes to Hawaii and then Obama had to fly back from Hawaii to prevent shutdown?

Anonymous wrote:So Trump was goaded into shutting down the government by Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh without any leverage? Right before Christmas? When we have him on tape owning it? LMAO.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:How ironic, the Border Patrol won't be paid because of the shutdown. I thought Trump was all hoooah about the border?
I am confident the Border Patrol would gladly take the hit for this one, unlike our lazy ass government workers. The Border Patrol understands the need for this far better than you or I, afterall they already make sacrifices everyday to cover for congress's pathetic selfish fools.
