Give it up, Democrats - you are not going to be able to derail Kavanaugh's nomination. When Bill Clinton's personal lawyer and an eminent person in the legal profession, Bill Bennett, offers a full throated endorsement of Kavanaugh, it should give one pause.

Here is what Bennett said about Kavanaugh:

"Brett is the most qualified person any Republican President could possibly have nominated," Bennett wrote in his letter, which does not contain Trump's name or any direct reference to him. "Were the Senate to fail to confirm Brett, it would not only mean passing up the opportunity to confirm a great jurist, but it would also undermine civility in politics twice over: first in playing politics with such an obviously qualified nominee, and then again in losing the opportunity to put such a strong advocate for decency and civility on our Nation’s highest court."

Of course, we will see Democrats on the House Judiciary committee pontificating ad nauseum for the cameras about Kavanaugh's alleged flaws although they know full well that he is eminently qualified. Is he conservative? Absolutely ....... but Trump made it clear that he was going to appoint conservative judges during the campaign so it is not as if he said one thing and then did something else.

The sheer desperation of Democrats is evident with the calls to delay his confirmation hearing because of yesterday's events. They are flailing around making an effort to do something but it is just for show.

We even have Sen Hirono canceling her meeting with Kavanaugh as if there was even a chance she would have voted for him.

If Kavanaugh were smart, he would withdraw from current consideration. He has major financial liabilities and with the Trump-Crime cloud, it is entirely possible he won't get the votes and worse, he could lose his current seat if his lies from the W administration and his financial issues are exposed.
