Took all comers? St Johns Catholic Prep (3-14), St. Mary's Annapolis (1-15), Poolesville, Shaker, Lake Braddock, JPG (5-11)... They had more walkover games on their schedule than anyone else in the IAC. A soft schedule really helped them earn the title of "Second Best Team in the WCAC" this season.

LOL. Yeah, playing Hill School, McDonogh and Boys Latin is a super easy schedule. Must kill you that Bullis beat BL and McD and you guys couldn't.

Stay classy, Purple Eagle!

Ditto -- congratulations. Big year for their coach -- his son, a senior at Brown who is a Bullis alum, has helped lead Brown to the final four in NCAA Men's lacrosse. Brown beat Navy in an awesome game in the quarterfinals, and Navy's captain and one of their top players is Patrick Keena, a Landon alum who will head to Navy SEAL selection after his graduation from the Naval Academy. Always great to see some local kids doing well in college ball.[/quote]

Agreed, congrats. Amazing what you can do when you have the least rigorous academics and lowest bar for admissions in the IAC.

What about the Prep School showcase? Which one of these 3 would you choose if you had to choose one?

Yeah I heard Bullis was runner up this year in the IAC Founder's Cup standings. Anyone have the full totals?

Congratulations to Bullis! The program has been building for this for several years and it is just great to see hard work pay off.

They've been strong for a long time. Great coaching at all levels starting early.

Great job by Bullis.

But shout out also for SSSA. How did they build such a strong team?

Great to see local alums making an impact at the college level.

The Landon alum is headed off to BUDs training this summer.

It has always been understood that schools that want to play in the Virginia private school state tournament have to fit that in around league play. This is the same for both the boys' league (IAC) and the girls' league (ISL). It would not be fair to hold the majority of the leagues which are not located in VA hostage to the schedule of a VA tournament. If they truly feel league competition is of lesser importance than the VA private school state tournament, they could always leave their leagues and play as independents.

And, as referenced by a prior poster (although not in the most polite terms), there was already an accommodation made in moving the game from Saturday.
