I read that he was arrested for DUI.
Not just any DUI. He went to a Thai rehab for a month. He gets plastered on the plane ride home and arrested for a DUI (his second) after leaving the airport. https://www.thefix.com/downton-abbey-star-brendan-coyle-arrested-dui-one-day-after-rehab
Okay, what the hell is "Thai rehab?" I can only think that it a "vacation" to get plastic surgery or your cover for when you actually go to prison: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/manchester/4163387.stm
No alcohol but lots of happy endings?

I couldn't believe the birth scene in Lady Mary's own bed. Why couldn't Anna just walk over to a servant's room or even a spare room and have the baby, if she couldn't walk back to her cottage? The baby wasn't going to fall out with the cerclage in place.
I wish Anna had said to her new baby, "Ohh Master Behhhhts." /soaring violins
The cerclage would have been taken out. Otherwise it would have torn her cervix during labor. All that aside, she could still have made her way home or something. I mean the labors on Downton are so easy and cliche. Except for Sybil!
She could have made it home, but Mary insisted she stay in her bed.

However; I still loved it. All of it. So happy for Mrs. Patmore.
However; I can't believe that the fine Dr. did not end up with Isobel! I guess I was delusional; I thought she was going to come around to him, not Lord Merton.
I think Isobel and Dr Clarkson are much more alike but would have a very dry marriage of peers. Lord Merton is a pushover but lovely and madly in love with Isobel. I think they will have more of a yin/yang marriage.

You're dying, sorry. Yes, we're sure. Oh wait- you're NOT dying!
Here's a girlfriend for you and a boyfriend for YOU and YOU! (Not so fast, Thomas). And a husband for you! And a wife for you! Did we forget anyone?
Everybody stuck in a soul sucking job or losing their job? Here's your dream job! And you sliced your wrist over this- tsk. No faith in the writers.
Anyone have a job others disapprove of? Three of you? Now you couldn't make them prouder!
Everyone who hates someone else- you're besties now! Kiss up!
Anyone want a baby? Here you go! One for you and you.
Shameful secret? Everyone knows now and guess what. Despite the times they love you more for it! Soak up the compliments!
Is Tom in love with Henry or what??!![]()

I feel no pity for Edith. She all ready has left her child with two different families and removed her without a second thought once she was bonded. And she deliberately destroyed Mary's life without a second thought in the first season.
Yeah, Sybil was the only truly likable sister.
What did Edith do to destroy Mary's life in the first season? I don't remember it.
Didn't edith send an anonymous letter to a paper or an embassy about Mary and the Pamuk guy who died in her bed?
She sent a letter to the Turkish Embassy. I don't know if it was anonymous.
