No, there's at least 1 that lives in walking distance. I don't know about anyone else, but the last day of school when I was in middle school, we all went to someone's house as a group... and some of the kids were normally bussed and others lived in other neighborhoods. So she has to figure out which 1+ kid(s) lives in her neighborhood, and her daughter may not remember the face for that kid if they were at the back of the pack.
11 kids all coming from different neighborhoods usually (but not always) means - Club, Team. Look in the yearbook and see what club/team these kids are all on.

So OP reports it, there are no witnesses except for the boys egging on the perpetrator. I think that number has been reported as 10 boys, but it may have increased. Dunno.
So we've got the word of 1 girl v. 11 boys, off school grounds, no witnesses, and no signs of physical damage. Sounds like a really strong case...
Why is everyone so obsessed about this. It sounds lIke the goal would be to have a person of authority tell him that's not acceptable. Is the concern that he's too much of a fragile flower for an adult to tell him to cut it out?
Exactly! He needs to have someone make him see that peer pressure/encouragement from friends can't outweigh what he should know is wrong.
There was one child telling him to stop, and 10 more telling him to do it. An adult would put all of that into perspective.
You know what's odd? My daughter is expected to protect herself independently when outnumbered, suck it up and not have an emotional reaction. The boy is just an awkward child who did something stupid and he shouldn't be reminded that his behavior was unacceptable. After all, he's just a child!
If a group of girls had done this to the Op's daughter instead would you still want to make sure that they were held accountable? I ask because girls actually tend to be way worse to other girls than boys are.

The fact that op appears so oblivious to the obvious ways to locate this kid makes me think she is either a troll or has no common sense--I am not sure which is worse at this point. Although a troll would be preferable to a grown woman who appears so helpless.
You sound a little nuts. I didn't said nothing was being done, just for the posters calling me helpless to answer the original question I asked. Other than looking in a yearbook, how are we supposed to find the boy's name? How can I search social media without a name or any identifying information? No one has been able to come up with a plan other than wandering the neighborhood. A door to door search of hundreds of houses isn't feasible.
You guys are insulting me, but none of you know how to find his name. Maybe, you guys are the helpless ones?
You are a troll. People have ad nauseam told you how to find his name if you want to. Which is crazy that you want to.

Seriously lady. You have been given multiple ideas and avenues to pursue. You daughter could find them in short order if she so chose. She has not tried to even borrow a year book much less look on social media. Perhaps, you should be asking why. She either lied to you or wants you to drop the matter.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If Op's daughter really wanted to find these boys she could borrow a year book, look on Instagram or Twitter (or a friend's account if helicopter mom forbids her from having an account), ask some friends, etc. She has fm done none of the above because (a) she isn't telling the whole truth or (b) she realizes her mother is an over the top nut case and she wants her to stop or (c) all of the above. Yep. Another dcum overreaction instead of actually piecing together the inconsistencies in the story as it has evolved and sing that a lot doesn't add up.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I suspect that there are some other problems going on w/Op's daughter (possibly other kids) and this boy/this incident is being used as....a scapegoat or an excuse. She was asking for it.
Oh, good grief. Yeah, pp. That's exactly what people are saying. Not.
