I just double-checked my bank account to be able to answer this question. Turns out I was wrong - he transfers three months worth of rent at a time into my checking account.

And here's where I call BS. Big difference between less than $9k more in your account one morning vs. more than $30k. Your average checking balance is so high that you wouldn't spot that?

I have met several kept women in my life. Detached is a very good word to describe them- detached from their own self I would say. Their level of introspection is very low. They just don't get all those "fine matters" such as feelings, emotions, etc- and are not really interested in them. They are very straightforward in their thinking about things. Family is normal if there are no big fights and everyone gets together for holidays. Their life is fine as long as there is enough money, they are healthy, and good looking.
They are fascinating to me, who is very introspective and introverted in the Jungian sense. Seems like they don't complicate things.

I didn't mean literally. I meant, she is like an addict, addicted to her lifestyle. Despite complete rationalization about how destructive her life is many levels, she's addicted to it like a cocaine addict is addicted to their coke. And this thread is satisfying her addiction. It's a very unhealthy, abnormal personification of herself. I really do wonder what kind of life she had growing up as a child.

I don't know, is this thread "feeding" her addiction? It's just full of people remarking on how sad/awful/pathetic/boring she is. How addictive could that be? And I don't think she's really addicted to anything other than being able to pay her bills for having sex. It's awful, it's damaging people other than her, but nothing anyone in this thread says likely has any effect on her.

PP here. And this thread started at noon today, and she's still been Johnny-on-the-spot, answering questions (as she chooses), for 12 HOURS.

To the people who are confused by how "boring" this thread is or how "detached" OP is, what did you expect? This is someone who is deferring having a real career and a real relationship and a real family in favor of occasionally having sex with a middle aged man for money.

Do you think that someone who would do this is interesting? Do you think her idle, empty life could be interesting? No- she's fundamentally damaged. The source of this behavior would probably be pretty interesting, but she's certainly not self-aware enough to give us insights into that.

Truly interesting people build something out of their lives, all this woman is accomplishing is helping to destroy some other woman's family (with the assistance of "her man," of course).
