Bob Sinclair was an excellent principal at Blake. He knew the students and was visible at school and at all kinds of evening and weekend events. Students, staff, and parents loved him. It was a huge disappointment when he left Blake for a central office position. He's one of the few great administrators, and it's nice to see him back in the position of principal - Woodward families will be so fortunate to have him.

Consulting principals can only hold the position for a max of 3-4 years. I believe Sinclair was already 3 years in, so he needed a new position anyway.

That’s the way I remember it too. Whether he stomped on or near the kid’s foot he was screaming in the face of a kindergartener. Even though acquitted of assault that’s an appropriately fireable offense.

That’s why she got the job. Quid pro quo.

This is ridiculous. (1) That’s a very long time for a quid pro quo payout; (2) I’m glad MCPS is willing to promote people who blow the whistle on bad behavior by their superiors. That shows a much more functional culture than “report wrongdoing and be black-listed forever.” Good for her.

Except she didn’t blow the whistle on bad behavior, she made a blatantly false accusation against an effective principal to get him fired. The accusation was thrown out at court.

Yes, he's a well-liked and very experienced principal, a good choice to open a new school.

She was required by law to report suspected abuse or neglect to CPS. Not to call her cop husband to have the principal arrested on a false allegation.

She was handsomely compensated for her failure to implement policy.
