Well, i'm one of those who's celebrating. And no! not all of us have lost our sense of perspective and humanity. In fact, it was precisely our sense of humanity that drove us some of us to do whatever we could to avoid this disaster. However, we were met with scorn, hostility and , dare i say, anticipatory excitement from those who were eager to inflict their cruelty on others...or so they thought.
To the federal workers and contractors who didn't vote for this gargantuan orange piece of mediocrity, i say i'm truly sorry. But, to the MAGA federal workers, i wish nothing but the same hardship (or more) and cruelty they were excitedly looking forward to see inflicted on their imaginary enemies.
No, this is cruel and disrespectful. You folks who think this is humane are sick.
Cry more. Empathy isn't a one way street. When you tell people: 'f*ck your feelings'. Be prepared to receive the same in return.
We're sick of having to be the ones who save our Republican butts from yourselves and then have you attack us for it and say "f your feelings".
Well, "f your feelings too" and have the day / month / year you voted for instead this time.
I mean Canadians are pretty nice people and y'all have pissed them off so royally that they are intentionally targeting red states. And, as someone else who doesn't anger quickly, I can assure you that once people like us get angry, they hold a grudge for years. Good luck with that.

So it’s better to just keep throwing money away all over the world?
We don't just "keep throwing money away all over the world." The US doesn't (the last 5 weeks notwithstanding) spend money that isn't in its national interest. All of those programs in Africa to feed people, provide medical care, dig wells etc. bring those people and countries to our side. Now China is going to step in. We've not only hurt people in the short term, like people no longer being able to access their AIDS drugs, we have completely destroyed our reputation. Nobody will trust the US word again for a very long time.
We can see all of this happening in real time. Five eyes isn't going to give us intelligence because why would anyone trust that Tulsi isn't giving the wrong people our allies intelligence? We have now sided with Putin over Ukraine and the Europeans. We are alienating our allies and cozying up to our enemies.
I will never understand how/why the Republicans in Congress aren't screaming about this. I have to believe that it isn't only a primary they fear but that Trump's goons that he pardoned have issued threats to them or to their families. If they don't genuinely fear for their health or safety, then they are just sick people.

Suck it farmers. The data indicates that the climate is changing and that goes against what this administration would like you to believe so you can kiss that data to goodbye.
If that means you have to kiss some of your cops goodbye then too bad. That is the price of suppressing any truth that the data might reveal.
Awesome! Hope everyone is ready to lose some weight!
Trump will just bail out the farmers like he did during his last term when they were screwed by his tariffs. It's not socialism when you're helping out people who voted for you.![]()

You seem to be suggesting that people in America should vote for what's best for the people in the DC metro area? Why would someone in Illinois vote so that DC area workers are employed by the government?
44,000 federal government workers live in Illinois. That's 2.4% of the total fedgov workforce. As of 2017 anyhow.

Sure, a lot of workers live in the DC area. In 2017,it was 15% of the total fedgov workforce. But that means that 85% of government workers do NOT live in the DC metro area. The vast majority, in other words, don't live around here.
Let’s display it for everyone
