Laci Sightings were not a priority
Everyone knew Scott did it. This was obvious.

The cops wanted a sordid sex tale and were obsessed with Scott’s sex life and jealous of him that they ignored the tips from the not as attractive elder Modesto residents who all saw Laci walking the dog. They really could’ve found Laci alive if they did their due diligence. The first thing out of the burglars mouth before they were even asked was they had nothing to do with the missing woman.
That’s super suspicious and a red flag. They came forward to clear themselves but yet their home and van was never searched and when sentenced to jail for burglary, one of the guys bragged in prison to another guy that he did argue with Laci that morning because she crossed the street to confront them
Everyone suspected the husband and then when news of the girlfriend broke it was game over. Were you even aware of this at the time it was happening?
The cops and media also ruined Gary Condit’s career when they found out he was dating/having an affair with Chandra Levy.
It turned out a criminal perp in the park did it and it had nothing to do with Gary Condit. If he weren’t a Congressman, he would’ve 100% gone to jail for her death
Gary never went to jail or trial. He looked a little suspicious but nothing legal came of it. How is this similar?
His career was destroyed because the Pearl clutchers assumed he killed Chandra because he was having an affair. Sordid behavior is bad but it does not necessarily equal to murder. Chandra and Laci are both from Modesto, CA. DC police didn’t find the perp who actually killed Chandra until 2009. He was deported back to El Salvador. The cops ignored all leads or eyewitness reports about him fleeing the park area because the juicier and sexier tale was more appealing.
If Gary Condit was a regular average Joe, the police would’ve arrested him but because he’s a Congressman, they didn’t.

Jealous of him?! Please. He was a big nothing.
Is this supposed to be Websleuths? It's bizarre that you care this much and admit that you could even stan for Brian Laundrie. Most likely OJ Simpson, Chris Watts and Brian Kohlberger are innocent too.
Occam's Razor. Look into it.
Why would a policeman be jealous of a fertilizer salesman?
