Why do we allow these elderly, frail men to run the world? At least the Pope can act appropriately in public, though. Biden has just lost it now. It’s terrifying. An adult man-much less the most powerful man in the world- should have the sense to not go around putting themselves into another person’s face. He has no respect for others to do that. It’s pathological. People don’t put their faces on each other.

I am waiting for a campaign ad featuring a compilation of Biden falling, tripping, and stumbling, with Trump doing a voice over, saying something about falling down on the job. Or Americans stand tall, blah. Or you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything, there’s a hideous country song that people love that has that exact chorus. It would fit Trump’s demographic perfectly. They’d lose their MAGA minds for that kind of low hanging fruit in campaign ad form.

I've seen the whole video. It's bad for Biden. He is old and clearly not entirely there. The contrast between him and the rest of the world leaders is staggering. The sad part are the partisan people like you pretending it's all edited fakes.

Wow. The denial is amazing. You refused to notice the other people in the video - all major European leaders - effectively going "err.... what the heck" and the Italian PM quickly and gently going over to Biden and escorting him back to the group, just like a nicely mannered granddaughter does for her grandfather with dementia at a family Easter dinner. The contrast between Biden's behavior and movement and the rest of the leaders is glaringly obvious to all but the most hardcore partisans.
Anyone who's dealt with aged family members *knows exactly what is going on*. And it's nothing to do with partisanship, but honesty.
Watch the rest of the clip. It gets worse.
The entire incident is crazy, but when the Italian PM leads him back to the group of leaders it’s clear he’s not there there. He shuffles back slowly without looking or speaking to her, no smile, zero expression on his face. He doesn’t look at anyone in the group. He stands facing the camera with a slight grimace but overall blank look on his face and in his eyes. His teeth are actually bared. He slowly raises his sunglasses and puts them on. He looks like a worn out animatronic figure. He looks nothing like the people around him; no expression on his face and not even noticing what is really going on around him. For some reason he was drawn to the Soldier packing his chute, but is too physically frail in voice and body to catch that guy’s attention.
Excellent (and accurate) summation. He looks so very childlike. Shame on his wife and all of his yes men for not insisting he pull out of this race.

I saw the video. Biden was approaching to try to engage the skydiver who was kneeling down packing up the chute. It was awkward in that the skydiver didn't seem to be aware that Biden was approaching to talk to him and Biden just kind of hung there for a moment until he was pulled away. But that's all it shows.
Yes, it shows how confused Biden was, especially when we see what the other leaders were doing. Would you have preferred that the PM of Italy leave him over there?
The point is he wasn't confused. He was trying to talk to someone who wasn't aware he was standing behind him. It happens. The bigger issue is the danger in basing our opinions of people on short video clips that have been edited to promote a certain narrative. I see this all the time on TikTok and other social media. Like every day. It's a problem for our whole society because we're getting our "news" from seconds-long video clips or sound bites that are very susceptible to being manipulated. Expect it to get worse in the lead-up to the election.
This. There will be deep fakes. Probably already are.

This only makes the whole thing much worse - it's a desperate attempt to cover up (weirdly) the simple reality that Biden is a very old man behaving like a very old man who is not entirely present some if not much of the time. A man in full possession of his faculties at a major G-7 gathering doesn't randomly wander off from the group of world leaders to give thumbs up to a solder who isn't even facing him! The Italian PM had to walk over to him and escort him back to the group! Like he was a child. Or an elderly and somewhat confused grandparent.
Between this, his weird body movement at the Normandy event, and his spaced out presence at the Juneteenth event, it's difficult to still pretend that these are all hit pieces taken out of context. Pragmatic people know the truth because we see it all the time with the elderly in our life who are in decline.
