The leaders were glancing at Biden and noticed his behavior. I can’t believe the Italian Prime Minister had to lead the President of the United States around on camera. It’s not her job to be Biden’s aide; she’s the Prime Minister of her country. She seems kind and gentle but how degrading for her.

The entire incident is crazy, but when the Italian PM leads him back to the group of leaders it’s clear he’s not there there. He shuffles back slowly without looking or speaking to her, no smile, zero expression on his face. He doesn’t look at anyone in the group. He stands facing the camera with a slight grimace but overall blank look on his face and in his eyes. His teeth are actually bared. He slowly raises his sunglasses and puts them on. He looks like a worn out animatronic figure. He looks nothing like the people around him; no expression on his face and not even noticing what is really going on around him. For some reason he was drawn to the Soldier packing his chute, but is too physically frail in voice and body to catch that guy’s attention.
Excellent (and accurate) summation. He looks so very childlike. Shame on his wife and all of his yes men for not insisting he pull out of this race.

It really is a breathtaking failure on the part of his family and advisers. He’s obviously in serious decline. It’s basically elder abuse shuffling him out like this. And obviously he’s not capable of the job. Just imagine him four years from now.
It’s unbelievable that we’re likely to have Trump again bc Jill Biden is an idiot and encouraged him to run when she more than anyone knows how frail he is

Yes, it shows how confused Biden was, especially when we see what the other leaders were doing. Would you have preferred that the PM of Italy leave him over there?
The point is he wasn't confused. He was trying to talk to someone who wasn't aware he was standing behind him. It happens. The bigger issue is the danger in basing our opinions of people on short video clips that have been edited to promote a certain narrative. I see this all the time on TikTok and other social media. Like every day. It's a problem for our whole society because we're getting our "news" from seconds-long video clips or sound bites that are very susceptible to being manipulated. Expect it to get worse in the lead-up to the election.
This. There will be deep fakes. Probably already are.
Nothing about the video in question was fake. We all saw the paratrooper and the way Biden wandered off to “talk” to him. You’re making this even worse by drawing so much attention to it.
And btw, how many deep fake videos were made of Trump? :roll: :roll:

That’s the part that is troubling. Any Soldier would be excited and proud to be noticed by the President of the United States. It would be a noteworthy moment in their career and a point of pride. That Biden can’t even effectively communicate with this guy is sad and scary. When I was in Bosnia, Hillary Clinton visited our area and I got my picture with her. I am an independent but it’s cool I have a picture with Hillary. Biden is basically an empty and impotent shell.
