Washington DC is more likely to convince the Commanders to pay double for a DC stadium than ever get statehood.
DC pols need to focus on the basics: crime, education, being business friendly. Forget the visions of statehood grandeur.
+ 1. It was never going to happen.

It's a non-binding, MOU that of course still needs lots of approvals from VA government and I would imagine a bunch of other various authorities. Best case, the teams could start playing in 2028....but do these things ever come on-line according to the best case?
Dude. It's done.
So, what am I missing? Why are you saying it's a done deal?
It has to go through the VA legislature, and I am sure some local NIMBYs will fight it, but ya, its done.

It’s a total bipartisan win for VA. Why do you think Warner was there?
Exactly. I was saying I am supportive of Governor Youngkin. I've voted for Warner for years. I didn't vote for Youngkin in the last election but my views have now changed on him.
Sorry I misread you there.

2) a music venue is there to listen to music. Having planes fly overhead that close to the runway kinda ruins the experience

From DCUM? LOL.
DCUM will be calling for more housing on the arena site and cars banned from downtown.
Baristas don't fuel a major city economy and even the Starbucks are closing.
