I've heard they are close to selecting a coach. Just had an interview with a local female coach who is pretty good. Should hear something official next week if both sides agree.

Posts that tell "everyone" what to do on these threads, don't usually have the intended effect. I will take a different tack to the same end.

Applications were due yesterday. 2028s either applied or they didn't, influenced--or not--by the coaching issues. Coaching situation should be resolved before decisions in March. These decisions are also made before the season.

So...great time to revisit the thread would be late Winter or early Spring.

Bump this post. No one here on this post has any control over what happens at visi. So everyone should move on instead of posting just complete garbage to get everyone all riled up

Solve the resource problem so the school does not have to use parents to coach for free. Visi’s basketball program has uniquely benefited from an exceptional parent coach who gives his time because he loves basketball.

All of the sub-optimal lax coach choices over the last decade are due to lack of competitive pay. The previous coaches used the position to enhance their lax-related day jobs and justified the low pay as a marketing/personal branding expense.

They weren't sub-optimal until they got to Visi. KM was the #1 rated team in the country. Bucky had the #1 public team in the state. Let alone SA and others. Visi used to get talent - it just gets rid of it at the first sign of friction. I'd say the AD at least knows how to follow directions.

This is a joke post, right?

Potomac is an excellent team but Visi also beat McDonough at McDonough. Hard to assess where they are with some great wins and surprising losses.

What D1 commits does Visi have right now? Notre Dame I heard where else? Is the most talent in the 2025 class or spread out?

Visi could still win ISL this year with the sheer talent they have.

Also, Visi has an amazing parent who coaches girls varsity soccer. Coach Burke has 2 daughters on the team. The oldest daughter graduated last year and plays in college. So Visi is not new to parent coaching.
