This is nice and all but I think the new House Rules package canceled the House Ethics Committee.

+1 Even in states like California and Wisconsin that have recall options can’t use them for federal elected officials.

Many believe that Cingress earns a “full” pension equal to annual salary ($174,000). This is not the case. A member accrued benefits at the rate of 1.5% annually for the earliest years of service. IOW a member serving five years would earn a benefit equal to 7.5% of the average salary paid over the three highest years of earning. So someone earning a salary of $174,000 would receive an annual pension of $13,050 before taxes, or less than $1100 a month once they turn 62.

Doubt it. Plenty of cases of lying, cheating, law breaking congresspeople who stay on….

There are campaign finance red flags everywhere. The FEC may be toothless but federal prosecutors aren’t as forgiving of conspiracies to commit wire fraud.
