There are a lot of lame things about the NPYLL. The fact that they now have a U9 division is a perfect example.

Lame? Npyll the best club teams around in the mdvadc area playing each other is lame? Stick with rec programs if that works for you.

My strong hunch is that your child was/is not a strong enough player to make a Club Blue team. That would explain your over-the-top vitriol. Unlike some programs (for example Next Level, Breakout), Club Blue does not roster weak players.

Oh yeah, thats it, puh- leeees. Some of the Club Blue teams are the worst out there. The current U13A, coached by Altimus, for instance, has never won a single championship or even been a finalist. It's always been one of the weakest club teams in its age group and the other "B" team in the same age bracket is a joke. That is why they play dirty, they dont have real stick skills. This year they have some kids they recruited over from Bethesda so they are better than in past years, but there are still Catholic school kids (incld Mater Dei boys) who play for both Bethesda and Next Level because that Club Blue team is so (in your words) weak. Clearly, you don't know what you are talking about.

There is nothing to suggest that any of the CB AA teams dropped down to A. Please.

The Catholic bashing trolls must have had a bad week - they are out in force.

I do not necessarily agree about the Catholic Mafia part. I know the parents of many of these boys. They are very nice, normal people. I am really surprised they are okay with the Club Blue antics and especially the coach's behavior. Also, my daughter play son a team with a bunch of Catholc girls whose brothers play for Club Blue. The parents are NOT okay with this kind if behavior when the girls play. I will say that there is anther girls team, a Check It Out team, with a very nasty, crude female coach who is one of the player's mothers. The (what you call) Catholic Mafia parents seem to think this coach is terrible and embarrassing.

Cheating is a pretty strong word - what have you heard/seen that would substantiate that? Club Blue is tightly integrated with Mater Dei, and there is definitely behavior from their parents that is part of the "Catholic Mafia" reputation. Really bad behavior.

Club Blue's parents aren't ashamed. It's how they roll.

Club Blue is the Georgetown Prep feeder program. If you've seen Prep's coach on the sidelines, this should be no surprise.

Which team are you talking about? I assume you are referring to their U15 team. I've seen them and it's a good team. If it's true that CB's U15AA team is going to play down to A, that's embarrassing. The point is to get better and have fun, and playing at an A level would not accomplish that.

If, however, it's a different CB team that simply isn't an AA level squad, then maybe they were too optimistic about their team's abilities.

Which CB team are you talking about? The only other possibility could be their U9 team, but they are listed as 1-2.
