1) Try to get a new a CEO who can smooth things over with the State government
2) If that doesnt work they should pay off their autonomous zone's debts to the bond holders (otherwise I suspect bond holders will be left holding the bag).
3) Petition to be entirely in one county. Kind of crazy for them to have deal with emergency services of 2 counties.
There's nothing to "smoothe over". The idea that a company is only allowed to support republicans is ridiculous and would send a terrible message to people.

It didn’t work with the NFL and it isn’t going to work with Disney. Disney’s best play is to come out with a simple statement that it will continue to support the diversity of ALL of their employees and guests regardless of race, gender, or sexual preference. “ That’s it and then enjoy the 1 billion dollar debt right off and 160 million tax break. The counties will end up needing to recreate another special district and Disney will have the leverage to negotiate an even better deal.
This seems like the right take. I have sort of wondered why Disney hasn't come out swinging, but at the end of the day I think Disney comes out better in all of this. And now they can direct their political donations thusly.

"If Reedy Creek goes away, the $105 million it collects to operate services goes away," he said. "That doesn’t just transfer to Orange County because it’s an independent taxing district. However, Orange County then inherits all debt and obligations with no extra funds."

Wow vote Republican and get hammered by taxes. What is it with Florida republicans and huge tax increases?
Orange and Osceola don’t vote for DeSantis so he doesn’t care if their property taxes go up. Because today’s Republicans govern only to benefit their supporters, not all the people.
The vote within Florida doesn’t operate on the electoral college system. Even if the wouldn’t take the entire county, there are votes within each county that matter toward to the total result.
