Of course, those Governors aren’t being attacked. And everyone has noticed that, whether they’ll admit it or not.
This whole thing has aged terribly for dems. They’re playing catch-up AND throwing stones at the same time. Very awkward place to be in.
Nope. Not comparable at all.
The D governors are just rolling back mandates. That’s not what Youngkin did. He told parents that they could ignore school rules. He illegally attempted to thwart local authority. That’s why there is a lawsuit. He overstepped his authority.
Plus, those other governors waited until after the surge because they aren’t flaming a-holes.
This is not true. Many of these states currently have higher case rates than they had 6 or 7 months ago and kept mandates in place.
It is political for them. Their focus groups and the polls are brutal and they need to do something to change the narrative.
Most of the mandates aren’t lifting until March/April.
Plus, kids 5-11 weren’t vaccinated 6 months ago.
So? Kids are at almost no risk of bad outcomes from this virus.
If this is what they are basing their decisions on (which they aren't), then they are not following the science.
And, the mandates are ending immediately in some of these states. NY, for example.
RI ends on Feb. 11. NJ and Connecticut ends theirs in a couple of weeks.

NJ governor lifted statewide mandate, but left it up to the individual school districts to decide on requiring masks. Youngkin tried to override existing law, and take that decision making away from school districts. That’s why he lost in court.

“The City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Health Department (AHD) strongly urge everyone help end the pandemic by wearing a mask over both your nose and mouth, washing your hands frequently, and getting vaccinated. Approximately 1 in 20 Alexandrians who have tested positive for COVID-19 have required hospitalization, so without these critical steps, additional lives may be at risk. Your neighbors and loved ones are counting on you to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

Alexandria is currently is “high transmission” red zone. In fact, it’s more than 5x over the lower limit of high transmission.

Safeway policy is to require masks for everyone in areas of high transmission.
Screw Youngkin. Like Boris Johnson, he’s ignoring the rules the rest of us follow. Asshole.
Do you think that using profanity makes you sound smarter? News flash, it doesn’t.
PP is correct.
Youngkin is a f*^king tool.
And those of us who voted for him in Virginia are getting a chuckle out of how he’s triggering you little snowflakes.
So much this ^^.
Of course you are, you spiteful POSs. It's all a game to you.
It’s kind of sociopathic.
Would you say your delight and relief at Biden winning was spiteful and sociopathic? Or was that somehow “different,” as usual? You people are the most pathetic hypocrites.
I didn’t find humor in Trump supporters being “triggered” by Biden’s win. More like terrified when your people tried to overturn the election and effectively overthrow the government.
Oh, shut up. At this point, you just sound utterly ridiculous. Oh, and spiteful and sociopathic.

The end of masks is afoot.
We all welcome ending masks but only if done safely. But just because mandates are beginning to be lifted does that mean past behavior is excused, forgotten or forgiven.
People exposed how self centered they truly are.
Are you so delusional that you really think people are worried about your approval?
+1
Is it just the one unhinged LWNJ who keeps coming back here, trying to get the last word? Isn't that called trolling?
