SJP had natural charisma and a charming personality and just exudes happiness and positivity, and people are just drawn to people like that. Apparently a lot of women resent that. It’s mind-boggling.

Right but SJP the person is not Carrie the character. Carrie’s personality was far from charming.

Yes, in fact, I think fashion in NYC used to be more interesting and unique before the internet and everybody seeing looks on the internet and mostly buying stuff on the internet.

There used to be a lot more unique shops and boutiques in NYC -- vintage or with little-known designers. And of course sample sales. Many of those have sadly disappeared.

I don't think she did (she was married twice on the show). I think she was just super-picky and rejected people for the slightest attribute that she didn't like. Then she married Trey and found that perfection isn't always perfect. It wasn't until she found Harry that she grew up and realized that sometimes perfection isn't what you really wanted.

Carrie, on the other hand, couldn't find a man without major flaws and was wiling to accept them even if the guy was a selfish jerk (Big, Berger, Alexander). The only one that wasn't was Aiden and she totally screwed that up twice.

It’s true, OP. She was and is hook-nosed with bad, frizzy hair, a chin like a witch, and a sallow face too narrow for her features. There’s no way around seeing that she’s ugly.

People are going to disagree with you because a lot of the Jewish women on this board fit that description. I say this as a Jewish woman. We’re not known for our looks.

That was the whole premise of the show. It wasn't to glorify women by any means, in fact most of them were town bicycles. And Carrie was in a psychological abusive relationship with Mr. big.
Kim was a total town bicycle, but sex sells and why many people tuned in.

No one should believe that show did anything positive for women, lol.

NP. I actually suspect that's what's going on. Men tend to like curvier women (except for model types), and women in NYC skew thinner. The men looking at OP probably found her more attractive due to being a little curvier (not fat, just not extremely hard and thin).
