He's always answered my questions quickly. The teachers I have seen who are happy he's leaving tend to be big whiners.

Seriously, does Arlnow have some dirt on this guy? If he's being let go for sucking, covering it extensively on the local new site is just mean.

There's really not that much news in Arlington

I have no gossip, but this person was chosen before Duran took over. My guess is that he was not who Duran wanted in the post, so he was replaced. Not for anything nefarious or incompetence, but just not the hand-picked team that Duran wants to overhaul the system. Seems like previous guy, from statements I heard him make, was maybe not on the same page.

Now this seems like a legit possibility. Can you cite some of the statements that seemed to put him out of sync with Duran? These distinctions are probably a bit too subtle for outsiders to spot on their own.

Well, I was on a call where he refused to even define “diversity,” and talked about how to some people it could mean even “diversity of thought.” That sounded like a lot of wishy-washy I will cash this giant paycheck and do nothing new speak to me, as an outsider. Can’t imagine Duran was impressed. I certainly was not.

James Lander all over again.
Gregory also stated that socioeconomic diversity isn't important.
No one with those attitudes about diversity should be in charge of diversity.

Does he really need replaced? I think the Director should be enough at this point. I didn't even realize these people had started their jobs. What are they supposed to be doing? What did they do?

I have no intel on Duran's thoughts on AG but I do know many people who were not impressed with him at all.
