Totally formulaic with no emotional investment required: the characters are so badly written that even actors I admire cannot make me care. Add in totally banal settings and implausible plots, and voila! Recipe for a snooze fest!

They are perfect lazy day shows. Especially in this current environment.

They're all dodo. "safe" was the most watachable.

I agree with op. I've recently tried to watch 2 and I can't get through them. I also hate the male voices that are dubbed.

I think they would be better as Lifetime movies set in America personally. It's all so drab with drab homes and people.

The shows sometimes start off decent, then become a convoluted mess of misdirection. The producers really think their twists are “gotcha” moments; in reality it’s just absolutely nonsensical plot lines(if you could even call them plots) Harlan Coben might be M knight shyamalans alias for when he tries his hand at crack & detective stories

Stay Close is the only one that has kept my interest so far. Shelter did intermittently, but the cast was uneven.

They thought that because Tell No One was a brilliant French adaptation it would work to transpose the books to Europe, but Tell No One was only great due to being exceptional quality directing, writing and casting. Imo without that superior take on them the books do not work transposed into a foreign setting at all: They are quintessential American suburban domestic thriller fluff, so they lose their charm and are much too dry in bleak England or Poland.
