Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. I saw an interview and she described how hard she had to fight for the role because she wasn’t viewed as sexy in HW. Not only was her acting amazing, I think she came across as very seductive in the role and I could easily see why Michael Douglas’s character was so attracted to her.

Morgan Freeman too! He’s called Red because the character was a red headed Irish guy. They really went off script so to speak and the movie would not be the same without the two of them.

This is so I retesting given the other thread’s discussion of casting actors of a different race than the character in a book. I, personally, am not bothered by changing the race or ethnicity of a person between the book and the movie. The movie is a new artifact and doesn’t need to stay true to the book.

Keri Russell in The Americans. I loved Felicity and definitely had "sweet girl next door" in my head about her but she played badass stone cold killer so well.

Jennifer Lopez in Selena. It’s no accident JLo became a star in her own right, and it makes that movie great that you had someone with such huge star quality playing someone with such star quality.

The cast of Jumanji both versions. Jack Black as a teenage girl was just perfect!
