Now break those "whites" down by R and L and try again. OP is correct.

Didn’t residents in those wards get priority access to the vaccines before those in some other wards? Doesn’t seem like unequal access is the problem here.

I think it is about risk tolerance (or perception of risk), rather than politics or race issues. Some people just don't want a new vaccine for a disease with a low risk of death. Stressing out over who is vaxxed and who isn't can't be good for your immune system.
Spoken like someone who hasn't spent the last 18 months zipping up body bags for people who would have lived had it not been for COVID. - a healthcare provider

I'm not vaccinated. 50 yo white female Democrat. I have medical issues, including severe allergies and an as yet undiagnosed auto immune condition, with risk of blood clots. I am doing the right thing for me, which is holding off on vaccination until I have a handle on my health.
No you are doing a dumb thing, and will probably die of COVID.
Statistically, my chances of dying from covid are .001%, if I contract it.
So you're 50 years old and have a ton of health issues, but you're approximately 1000 times less likely to die of this brand new disease than the average person is because reasons. Also it's a brand new vaccine, after all, unlike COVID-19, which was so named because it came into existence in the year 1619.
Probably a blood clot will get me first and our bickering can end. I'm not in a position or mind frame to introduce a new vaccine into my body. I understand you are anxious about covid and berating internet strangers gives you some sense of control, but I have to do what I feel is best for me. I'm not trumping around the town and I mask up when I go to my medical appointments. If you are vaxxed and are doing well, please just enjoy your life.
NP here, the blood clot issue is serious and you need to do what is best for you and your body. The advice from your personal physicians is what matters and not this online nonsense. The name calling is just ridiculous. You do not come across as dumb. Best wishes to you (50yr old lady) stay masked up and sanitized.
Thank you. Yes, I have been advised to hold off by my doctors. I am not taking any unnecessary risks and the rest of my family is vaccinated. I am in a currently low case area. I am not concerned about contracting covid or spreading it, if I did get it. I'm actually a bit younger than I indicated originally.

Factually incorrect statement, at least in Montgomery County, where the vaccination rate for Latino residents is higher than the vaccination rate for white residents.
Prince George's County is predominantly black/AA and 70% of adults are vaccinated.
Where do you get that number? According to the State website, 54.3% of PG County population is fully vaccinated. That's still a hefty unvaccinated population. In Howard Co, 72.7% of the population is fully vaccinated.
WTOP. Four weeks ago. It should be higher now. https://wtop.com/prince-georges-county/2021/07/prince-georges-hits-70-vaccination-rate-for-adults/
