They've got a point, though. Online dating is still creepy and weird and for people who can't interact with real people in real life. It's so gross to put yourself out there as stats and hope someone picks you. I am not sure it's good that the stigma of online dating is gone. People are all Wall-E characters living life through their screens now.

I am 5ft tall. Everyone is taller than me for the most part and while I can tell the difference between 5'5" and 6' it's all taller than me at the end of the day so I don't care. I WOULD care if he was shorter than me. I do not think I could do that.

Women who are >8 gravitate toward successful/wealthy men, not tall men. There is some overlap. But being tall and average income is not going to do you any favors landing an 8+ woman

Not true. I don’t care about money but height is high on my list. Height, kindness and intelligence. Money—not so much. I am attractive and have no interest in a man’s money.

I didn't compromise. I value character, sense of humor, intelligence and someone that treats me as an equal. Height would be waaay down on my list.

And I should add that his confidence was a HUGE turn on. He loved my height and did not care at all that I was taller than him. Didn't care if I wore heels, although 3" is as high as I go for comfort reasons.

Good for you. I am divorced. I settled when I got married (not in height but in other ways). Not doing it again. I like men 6 feet or taller. I am not settling again. I am 5 feet 7. I have no interest in men who are not meeting my preference. I am not interested in marriage. I am interested in dating. No reason I should have to bend my preferences.

Women are lying about EVERYTHING in their profiles.

I’d say they lie about it 80% of the time. I’m 5’10 (woman) and I’ve never had a guy show up on a date who lied. But scores and scores posing as 5’10 hoping I think that a 5’1 woman won’t notice the difference.
