And the US just watched….not too good!
Reminded me of many World Cup games where the two teams would play this way to safely advance and to not get injured and to rest. Germany (men) used to do this all the time. Remember the Germany v. Austria game back in the 80s? I think the US is old, and they know it so they played it safe.
Up next are the Dutch. This will likely be the end of the US in this tourney. Then the rebuilding with youth will start. Hopefully, more of these girls get picked up by Euro pro team farm systems at an early age, else not sure we’ll ever return to the top again. We’ll always be competitive, but the dominance we once had will end.

And - if they win another gold? You will be saying what?
(You realize the Netherlands national team has played 8 games since the end of the 2019 WC, and only 1 of those was against a decently competitive team (Brazil 3-3 tie in pool play).
Netherlands will stay have better team chemistry.
Golly. Who knew that we had an expert on team chemistry posting on a DC moms website. Are you a coach for both national teams?
As much of an expert as you. It’s my opinion.
Players who are leaders on and off of playing surfaces are invaluable to their teams. ... At the other end of the spectrum are athletes who are referred to as being locker room “cancers;” players who alienate coaches, teammates and even fans with their behavior
And you know exactly zero about any of it.
If I know zero then you know zero. See how that works.
But I am not lying and pretending I know anything about the players. You are lying. See the difference?
