Definitely drive through and check it out.
PROs
-Location can't be beat
-Price for location can't be beat
-People that live there seem happy
- Good parks
CONs
-Living next to the original 1950s homes
-There are some one-off monstrosities that are even worse than the originals
-Fairfax Falls Church - not as strict about building restrictions, homes can end up pretty close to property boundaries, some seem to have really large coverage percentages
-Lots are pretty close together
Building permits for PH are coming of the same county-wide office that handles everywhere else in Ffx county.
PH lots are 1/3 acres on average. This is small for far-out suburbs where big lots are expected. Compared to close-in burbs like Arlington, 1/3 acre is pretty nice.

But a year later I drove by PH again and was amazed by the changes in such a short period of time. So I gave up on old and expensive houses in Arlington eventually. PH has a Wholefoofs, Trader Joe’s and restaurants right outside the community. And it’s super close to the McLean Boro flagship Wholefoods, Wegmans and two metro stations. I have compared PH vs Vienna for new build, and definitely prefer PH. I look forward to joining PH community this fall!
