We were at the Funland a few weeks ago. We had to make reservations online for the visit. It cost each rider $20 and $5 for the non-rider. I actually liked it better. The place was not swamped like in previous years. There was plenty of chance for the kids to ride all the rides they wanted (even 2-3 times) without having to wait in very long lines.

My college aged son has 12 HS friends working/living in OC this year (all together in one house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms!!) because jobs are plentiful and they can make so much. They are working as waiters, bouncers, and a couple enterprising ones as apprentices to HVAC people. I admire their initiative, though I’m horrified by the sounds of their living conditions, not that the Eastern European teens ever had decent housing either.

I agree with this (DP). We just got back from rehoboth and I was dreaming of beautiful turquoise water that you can actually swim in without getting pummeled by huge frigidly cold waves.

Rehoboth is really a year-round town now.

Just too many people in th DMV area and it's the closest beach area. And a lot of ppl don't want to fly esp with young kids. Wish there were more beach coastline closer.

It’s always been expensive near the beach. The crap along rt 1 is just overpriced now too.

Agree with the PP who said the higher prices are to offset the higher costs in hiring employees this year. Also, the summer is when they make their money to keep themselves afloat thru the cold winter months when no one goes to the beach.
