I love moroccan tiles- do you mean the arabesque shapes? I'm still warming up to DO that eventually. Is it already passé?
No not the arabesque, the patterned Moroccan tile. Mine are neutral colors and I’m still over it. I don’t think the trend has ended and the tiles are beautiful. I just hate when everything is overdone.
I don’t get this. Either you like it or you don’t. Disliking something because it’s popular is just as bad as liking something because it’s popular.
I’m not sure what you aren’t getting. You can like something and still wish you hadn’t done it. It’s not about being popular it’s bout seeing it every where and being sick of it. Hopefully that clears it up for you.

Location of recessed lights in the kitchen. They are so random, rather than thoughtfully or logically placed.
Finally, I wish we had placed some pocket doors in locations that are generally open. Not so much an issue now, but when the kids were little, and we were entertaining, there was no way to close off the open floor plan that we love, to keep the noise from floating upstairs and keeping them up. Would have been easy to do at the time, now there is electrical and other things in those walls.

Obviously we won’t be paying to replace something brand new, so I’ll just have to deal with it. Hoping to commiserate with other homeowners who are dealing with this too! What home improvement choice do you regret?

It’s beautiful but I hate that it’s an extra floor up, I am almost never in there except to sleep and it’s a pain to heat and keep cool in the summer. I so wish they had added on top of the first floor addition instead. I also think it’s a harder sell to families with young kids, which we didn’t have when we bought but could make resell challenging.

It works but we really needed to redo the tub/ shower when all 3 kids were living at home. Anonymous wrote:Anything people regret NOT doing? We’re about to embark on a renovation project and contemplating some add-ons like a new bathroom or a basement dig out.
