Some middle aged women get dumped by their husbands and want to think that they are victims. "He dumped me because he wanted to date women half his age!"

For a dumped ex wife, finding out that the ex husband actually likes women his own age (but not ex wife) may be upsetting. That's understandable. It probably means the problem was her personality, not her looks or age.

If she dumped him, then I don't see what the problem is.

I thought you were going to post that your 50-something ex-husband was dating women in their 70s.

Your post title is so misleading. A 55yo dating 45-60yo is not dating hot grandmas, they are dating people their own age.

That goes both ways.

Women over a certain age don’t have to be your date to your brother’s wedding or help you land an interview. They get what they want and if you are annoying or whiny or pathetic, they have the confidence to avoid a second chance.

FU. I'm 54, and I'm not a grandma. My youngest hasn't even graduated high school. He's dating women 5 years older than him? That's not a problem.

The problem is that you are a very judge person. Please consider what impact that had in the dissolution of your marriage.

+1. I think a lot of younger women can’t wrap their heads around the fact that many older men find women their age sexy and attractive. Sorry, age doesn’t trump all. And I’m 29 so this isn’t me being defensive.

OP, lots of desperate women ages 45-65 who will go out with almost anyone. Many of my friends fall into this category; they might not marry the guys, but will date them.

If he's over 40, has a job, and working body parts, he's in demand.

If a friend tells me she is contemplating divorce I ask her if she will be ok with him being romantically involved with another woman. Because the truth is no matter what you think about him, chances are really high that he will have a far easier time dating and meeting other women than you will dating other men.

Unless he was horrible to you and your children, try to be glad he has found someone that makes him happy. Hopefully that results in him being in a good place to be a good father to your children.

Why do you think it’s easier for men ? I thought it was the reverse !

In this age group, men have the clear dating advantage. Double that since he isn't chasing the 29 yo hotties.
