Does it really, though? I'd bet most of the employees are vaccinated, and their employers are only requiring masks since a lot of customers wear them. There are a lot of vaxxed employees who would LOVE it if their employers didn't make them wear one.

Anonymous wrote:My 2 year old that only has a few words wears masks at outdoor playground for an hour , and I see kids that are older than her like preschooler or elementary school kid do not wear mask, including their adult family members. Some of unmasked adult family member are helping their kids on the playground, so close to my kid and other kids. I feel I am stupid and they are selfish. But you know what , 80% of kids and adults still wear masks at outdoor playground, so we are not the odd ones that dcum says. Many families still wear masks outdoor for the sake of unvaccinated kids.

Way to dehumanize your child even though there is no discernible risk outdoors.
Some of you covid freaks really need mental help.
There is a reason the World Health Organization recommends against masking kids 5 and under, and only tepidly recommends masks on 6-11 year olds. What we have done to children - the masks and extended school closures - makes us an outlier among nations.

“Specifically, a mask obstructing a face limits the ability of people of all ages to infer emotions expressed by facial features, but the difficulties associated with the mask’s use are significantly pronounced in children aged between 3 and 5 years old. These findings are of essential importance, as they suggest that we live in a time that may potentially affect the development of social and emotion reasoning, and young children’s future social abilities should be monitored to assess the true impact of the use of masks.”

I know you think saying “well, we follow science” makes you sound super cool and superior, but it actually just makes you sound like an idiot.
Does calling someone an idiot make you feel superior? Anyhow, outdoor transmission is nonexistent and cases are very low. OP is judging people who are considering science when OP is not.

Same in DC.

I no longer require my kids to wear a mask while outdoors.
