My parents never knew even though we were close and at my high school graduation I overheard my mom say to someone that I wasn’t interested in boys yet.

Actually I agree with this. Middle school girls are just more into relationships and pairing off than the boys are, yet. They definitely pursue the boys more than boys pursue the girls. It doesn’t mean they are promiscuous- they are just in a different development phase

I found out through the grapevine that actually 3 females have asked my son, yet he has rejected all, why???? I actually don't know 😅 but I think that when the right girl comes along, he will forget the past and see her as a jewel of great price.
How is your son only 14 and already in 10th grade?

The last thing he needs is his mom asking why he hasn't coupled up yet. Let him go at his own pace. You don't need to push him into anything.

When my mom found out my brother was gay her response was, "but you always watched straight porn!" We were all horrified by her outburst. My brother died laughing, so then we all started laughing. She started crying because she was both surprised and then embarrassed.
Now it's a running joke. Either way sexuality is a spectrum and interest in girls or boys (at any age) doesn't categorize your kid as straight, gay or bi. It is more accurately an interest in sex.
