I think it is important to make clear that most of are talking about WASPs in these boomer comments. White boomer men didn't have to complete with minorities, immigrants, overseas labor, etc. Their education and housing was heavily subsidized or protected by the government. They have used their accumulated wealth as the middle and upper middle class to completely dominate the job market, economy, and politics. Now because of demographic changes they aren't interested in passing on those benefits to the rest of society. It doesn't benefit them.

It's sad, but there are always those who have a need to blame others for their status in life. Those are individuals who haven't learned to accept responsibility for their own shortcomings and poor decisions. That mental energy should instead be channeled to make positive improvements in their lives.

Our public policy is responsible. Economic decisions are made by Congress and the states. Who has always served in those positions? The wealthy.
