If your player is interested in playing soccer in college, ECNL is far and away the better league. ECNL clubs/teams/players get WAY more exposure to college coaches. Sure NCSL players can make college rosters, but the pathway is much, much easier through ECNL.

No shame in this but Burke fell to Arlington ECNL 3-0 in the state championship semi final this morning. However, because Burke won that NCSL super group playoff thing, they advance to the Regional Championships anyway.

Suuuuuure. College coaches LOVE scouting 30+ player rosters… I’m an ECNL coach but the hype in this country and especially this NOVA area is beyond laughable.
There are many many talented kids not in ECNL that can school most of my players. It’s all about $. And yes, I’m part of the problem with my 90k salary but I’m telling you most of you are fools

Question: I have a younger son so I’m just wondering....say your daughters team entered this. If you want your daughter to be “scouted” do you have to contact each individual coach ahead of time saying you are interested in that school and give the coach your info and maybe a highlight video or do you just go play and hope your daughter gets noticed and they contact you? Orr is it a little bit of both?

Sorry, but no one is scouting your NCSL games.
