No shame in this but Burke fell to Arlington ECNL 3-0 in the state championship semi final this morning. However, because Burke won that NCSL super group playoff thing, they advance to the Regional Championships anyway.


So what is it? NCSL is better than ECNL still? Idiot parents gloat about the league, focus on the player.

Suuuuuure. College coaches LOVE scouting 30+ player rosters… I’m an ECNL coach but the hype in this country and especially this NOVA area is beyond laughable.

There are many many talented kids not in ECNL that can school most of my players. It’s all about $. And yes, I’m part of the problem with my 90k salary but I’m telling you most of you are fools

If you want your daughter to be “scouted” do you have to contact each individual coach ahead of time saying you are interested in that school and give the coach your info and maybe a highlight video or do you just go play and hope your daughter gets noticed and they contact you? Yes, I think in general coaches are going to scout specific players. So if you want a coach to see your daughter play, you should be contacting them before the game and sending then your players schedule.

I saw that 07 Burke team play recently. They are a good team. They are the best age group in that club and I'm sure they can beat some ECNL teams. That is a good thing. You don't always need to be in the best league if you have real a few good players and a good coach. Good for them.
