DC isn't graduating this year but I already know what I'm getting them: a huge chunk of their tuition/room/board funded and get to keep the car they're driving in high school.

This thread is giving me hope. This is exactly what I plan to give my DS and I am getting all sorts of grief about it from family and friends. No trip to Europe? No luxury America trip if Europe is off because of the pandemic? No car?

I have a 2020 graduate. I got one of those T-Shirt blankets made at Project RePat. It's really nice and a fun way to use up t-shirts all the way back from elementary school. That was her official present. She didn't use it as a bedspread in college - more as a lap blanket. She'd bring it with her if she hung her hammock between trees. It's a really nice and useful memento.
