Subject: Does the extra attention when driving a new luxury car or SUV get annoying?
I was getting gas the other day and a Ferrari convertible pulled in. We were the only two at the station. I did not say a word, I’m not into cars and would not spend 300k on one.
But I am not going to judge those who do, their money.
I drive a humble new q7 and it serves its purpose.

Where do you live with all this extra attention for a car? In North Arlington, all of them are pretty common. Most of my kid’s friends’ parents have Teslas.

We have or own all of the above.
The only comments I ever got were brand new Ford F150. Every time I got out. LOL
I do not care what other people think of the cars I drive. I am 4'10" whatever car I can see out of that has working air conditioning and radio works for me.
Depreciating assets. We keep ours forever.

Attention grabbing is a reach... but as a few posters said, I'd just feel like such an asshole driving something like a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon or the big Range Rover or a bright blue Porsche Cayenne. Some see driving something like that as "success"... I see it as ostentatious and obnoxious.

I live in a townhouse community where homes are going for $600K or so - I have seen every single one of those cars except an Escalade in our parking lot at some point over the past 10 years. So....not as high end and attention-getting as you seem to thing.

No one would bat an eye at any of these cars in my neighborhood. There are plenty of them parked all around - also plenty of Hondas, Toyotas, etc.
I think you are vastly overestimating how much people care about your car. OP.
