Well the outcome is always the same. The Mexican hospitals require payment in full before they will release the person to go back to their home country, and that’s if they’re even well enough to fly. Also, some people experienced botched medical service and ended up with infections, gangrene and amputation by the time they made it back to their home countries.
That series made me think long and hard about planning for medical emergencies when I want to visit third and second world countries.
