OP here - Everyone is right. I don’t want to ruin my children’s lives over this. I’m going to tell FIL tonight he can’t visit unless DH is here. I know I need to talk to DH about making our marriage stronger. They will be on the agenda this weekend. Hopefully he’ll be receptive to couples therapy - we’ll see. He’s old school and doesn’t believe in therapy and is very traditional about gender roles, etc.
