Um, lots of people here are going to pass upwards of 100 people on a city or busy trail run. It’s ok to put on headphones, get in the zone, and tune everyone out.

Another thing that I rarely see anymore is the wave of acknowledgement when you allow someone to get in front of you in traffic.

No thank you. I’ll do a slight head nod, but not waving like a fool at everyone I pass.

It's definitely a thing with motorcycles. Also Jeeps I think?

I told my family I smile and wave to everyone driving my car and my husband had a good, long laugh. Ok, so there are an awful lot of blue Honda accords out there, but so what?!

Do you not have any real friends or family?

Whatever, Grinch. Not PP, but I enjoy the friendliness of others! Beautiful weather ahead, my W&OD runners. See you today, tomorrow, and Wednesday!

That was me waving at you the other day and I was really feelin' it. Running Saturday?

It’s such a habit for me. I’m still smiling when I have my mask pulled up (but it’s usually down - I can’t run in my mask)

Guy here, I typically wave to most older people and sometimes younger more serious looking runners (I am a decent runner).

I would only wave to a lady is she gave me a wave or smile first. I don’t want to creep anyone out.

Exception to this is on extreme weather days when I wave to everyone in solidarity.

I generally only wave at elderly people. I figure it's more likely they may be alone and it could brighten their day a little.

I don't want men thinking I'm hitting on them and I don't want random women to be confused and think I think we're friends.

I’m a male and I figure they are saying hi, much like I am saying the them and to men I pass when I give a quick wave

Oh honey, no.

More like: "I see you, I acknowledge what you look like and are wearing, so if you attack me I'll give police solid info."

Don’t worry I’m not into middle age women
