Hi - Are you coming out of a coma? If yes, let me fill you in. Republicans are not trying to hide their love for fascism anymore. They openly do it now. ANd it’s not just black people they are trying to disenfranchise. It’s also white people who vote for democrats.
OK...you’re caught up!
Thanks for the gratuitous sarcasm. I’m fully aware of the fascist tactics of the right. But there are some incidents that are so brazen that they just take your breath away. This was one of those incidents. Here’s a tip...don’t try to antagonize people who are on your side. It’s not a good look.
DP. With the number of pretend Democrats on this board who enjoy sowing discord, try not to take every post so seriously. You’re right, it was rude, but only lightly rude. The GOP is fully fascist now. We do need to work together to oppose them.
Oh, pp. You sound young, naive, and a bit paranoid. Do you even know what "fascist" means? If so, please provide a specific example of how the GOP has gone "full fascist."
Np here. I know what it means, clearly more than you, and yes that group are trying to instill an authoritarian government with dictatorial power who forcibly suppress the opposition. You are either a liar or stupid if you deny this. Which is it.
If you believe that - you have not read the law.

I just don’t understand why people can’t take a personal day or just miss work for one day to go vote? You wouldn’t become homeless for missing a day of work

According to the police officer, she stepped back once before continuing to bang on the door. She was advised once more to stop, and when she did not she was placed under arrest.
Why didn’t they just let her in? She is a elected official, what’s the big deal? So maybe so says something in protest as the bill is signed—is that a worse look than arresting an elected official in what is basically her workplace (a minority female, at that)? It seems boorish.
because the us is back in 1950. Only whites allowed. F you clueless people who are not appalled by what is happening in Ga.

Had she previously approached the door and knocked? If not, there wasn’t much of a warning, and it seems like the officers were more intent on making an arrest than on preventing a scene. Why did they let her walk right up to the door without asking her to state her business? I would have expected the officer at the door to tell her that the room was in use and she couldn’t go in there. It’s like they thought she was supposed to be in there until she knocked and then they just went into full arrest mode.
I wonder if it’s a guilty conscience. They want America to know that they’re still filthy fcking racists. They know they are. There’s a part of them that is aware this is bad and they should change, but also they don’t want to. So they’re telling us, up front. Yes, this is as racist as it looks.
I got an email from Stacey Abrams this morning. I'm ready. Let's go.

Under what code was she arrested? You can’t just say stop knocking, there has to be a code. #KnockingWhileBlack
Get out of here with your stupid hashtags. She was disturbing what was going on inside and would not listen to the police when they nicely asked her to stop her behavior. Start with disturbing the peace.
Yeah OP, get out of here. What she needed was a cheezy little goatee and a whole bunch of white-man's-tearful-rage and maybe a Daniel Boone hat or polyester Trump flag and it all would've been OK. MAGA!
