That’s a good point. I don’t know anyone who sold out like this in their 20s or 30s. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I don’t think it’s that common. Why waste time on a losing game when you can invest in being a winner.


OP said affair partner is short and fat so maybe she settled.

Women with good emotional health can’t relate. Unfortunately there are some damaged people out there who make easy targets for people like OP to take advantage of. It’s truly sad.

I believe it. Years ago my boss had something going on with his assistant (he’d hired from his previous company—his wife showed up one day and was shocked to see her at our company). His wife got pregnant with #3, the assistant got engaged to her doormat boyfriend, our boss went running after her at a conference (how we laughed at this one.). And it all had a stupid boring ending.
