Heard rumors of FCV, McLean, and Braddock Road merging?! FCV finally gets into ECNL!! Ongoing discussion that has just been confirmed. Check your emails soon parents! Watch out for your DD heard cuts are coming soon.

That would be good for all of the clubs involved. Need to consolidate talent in this area. Competition is good for the clubs and the players. Bravo!

Insights from Tophat who are in the same boat as FCV.

This is all good for FCV if they can hold teams together and other Top GA teams implode or switch to ECNL they can waltz into GA national championship.

Please tell us who the other Top GA clubs they’re playing. I’ll wait

College coaches probably want incoming recruits to be playing in meaningful competitive matches at the club level. Traveling hours to play NCSL level teams is less than ideal

Without detail they didn't get it; ECNL is unlikely to explain any of the denied applications. If FCV didn't apply for ECNL, you should be asking them why they didn't.

ECNL didn't forget that.

FCV needs ECNL a lot more than ECNL needs FCV- why should they bother to admit them?

That’s barely burning a bridge

Oh and the comment of people taking pics at practice happened at other clubs too. Just a mess this year

Never an intention to start an FCV bash

It’s a really good question, especially when you consider the many changes that have happened at FCV since they left ECNL: New ownership, number of changes in the coaching ranks, etc. I would think TSJ would take care of smoothing out whatever needs to be smoothed out with ECNL leadership, if that was actually the issue.

Is ECNL more profitable for TSJ? Is the difference actually worth any effort on the part of TSJ? It doesn't seem like FCV is actually giving TSJ much- they don't train or play there any more than any other clubs in the area

I don’t understand the business model TSJ is working towards, but would think their soccer director (Doug Homer) would be pushing them to be in the ‘highest’ leagues since that should lead to more players and more dollars.

I would think that more dollars would be more space rented, more campers, and more players for house leagues. I don't see how ECNL helps

What's more profitable. The 5 Loudoun ECNL teams or the 600 Loudoun Rec and travel teams. The money is not in ECNL. ECNL is just clout to recruit.
