From the State that brought Jeff Sessions, Roy Moore and Mo Brooks, never....
Would you prefer an education in the state that brought us Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein??
I want to be your friend!

I'm from the south so I know most people are friendly and I always appreciate southern hospitality. So while southern charm, athletics, weather and the alumni network are certainly factors in school selection, they're just not at the top of my DD's list. But, I'm happy for your kid.
It isn't because you/your child wouldn't choose it that bothers people. It's the anger, judgment, and assumption that everyone who attends Alabama (or any other southern school for that matter) is racist and ignorant that bothers some readers on this site.

Anonymous wrote:It's an athletic powerhouse with enough enthusiastic alumni spread across the country that networking should never be problem. I can't count the number of A flags and license plate holders I've seen around DC. Graduating college with no debt and the ability to move anywhere and meet someone who will understand ROLL TIDE...priceless. Way more bang for the buck than some tiny liberal arts college no one but the most elitist has ever heard of. This is a smart move. Congratulations!

This.
+1 they could pay me and I still wouldnāt send my child there.
+2

Why?
Sheās afraid her snowflake will become a Republican because she did not teach them to think independently.
Thought so.![]()
Always amuses my that the ones that purport to be to most progressive and tolerant are actually the most regressive and intolerant.
So a bunch of a-holes gang up on someone who wouldnāt send their kid to Alabama and somehow they are intolerant? Perhaps they just do not think itās a good school? Perhaps they are not all about football and flouting COVID rules. Does not make them intolerant just means thatās not the right fit for them.
Hit a nerve? Iām sure āYou couldnāt pay me to send my child thereā was meant in only the nicest ājust not a good fitā kinda way. And Iām sure those describing it as a āmediocreā education have done extensive research into the depth and quality of the programs offered by the university.![]()
Talk about people who can dish it out, but not take it.
