Sorry for late response... honestly I think Kenyon is culturally aligned with basically all the SLACS. Straightlaced jocks to blue haired gender fluid artists can all fit in. It's a very accepting place. Maybe it's a little bit closer to the artsy fartsy side of things than other schools, but not to the point where a preppy kid would have trouble.

DS is currently pledging a frat at Kenyon. He's drinking cheap beer but it doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary. Maybe back in the day it was heavier.

My DS is a first year and never got boosted. I think it was required on paper somewhere but no follow up. I agree it's ridiculous but at least it seems to be unenforced.

My DS considered both schools last year. He preferred Kenyon, which I was sort of surprised by. Kenyon is more remote, but the campus is beautiful. He really liked the people he met at Kenyon...there's a wide range in terms of personality types, but the community seemed tight. Academics also seemed excellent. My DH and I were super impressed by Denison too. Honestly, they are both amazing schools, so I don't think your son can go wrong!

They're still alive with no lasting damage which is more than is the case for many of the people their age who didn't get vaccinated.
