I'm all for reopening everything once people who want to get vaccinated can, but right now there are plenty of people with underlying medical conditions who can't get vaccinated, let alone anyone who wants a vaccine. We really can't wait another month or two?
No. I can't wait another week. This is the one year anniversary of this whole debacle and I'm done.
Exactly. This pandemic is all about you.
My life is about me, yes. Sorry, but I've given you hypochondriacs a year of it. That's all you're getting.
Many of us lost loved ones. Over half a million people are dead. Maybe try to show some respect?
By doing what, exactly? Sorry that I'm happy that MD is opening up again, because the science says it's OK and the economy is on the brink. Of course the loss of life is horrible, but what is your definition of "showing respect"?
Not saying shit like, "I've given you hypochondriacs a year"? Just spitballing here. There are half a million dead "hypochondriacs," and millions of grieving family and friends. Every one who dies from now on would almost certainly not have died if they had been vaccinated. And they can't all stay home and protect themselves, without the help of everyone else. If it were just people like "my life is about me" lady who were going to get sick and die, fine, I'm okay with that. But that's usually not how it works.
Also, we haven't been on lockdown. Lots of stuff is open, some with capacity restrictions, but still open. But lifting the restrictions on activities known to be risky, like indoor dining, is going to get people killed who didn't have to die.
Your fearmongering works for a lot of people, I know, but you have zero real evidence to support this.
Anonymous wrote:Pointless without buy-in from the counties. I highly doubt MoCo will lift it's restrictions. This is just more Hogan posturing. Wish he would actually improve the vaccine rollout.

It is most certainly not "over" and idiots like hogan are why it has and will continue to drag out longer than necessary.[/quot
This, Hogan will not be voted for ever again.
Anonymous wrote:I’m confused about lifting capacity restrictions on dining yet the wordin that “restaurants and bars will be limited to distanced ans seated service”. What does that mean? Can restaurants go back to cramming tables together but just can’t have the bar part open? Will tables be distanced from each other or servers distanced from patrons?
I was hoping to do a lot of outdoor dining with our kids as the weather warms up but not going to feel great about a packed venue with people talking loudly all around us, considering they’re not vaccinated. I guess those of us with kids get to just keep our lives so what on hold so adults can have fun, as usual. Sigh.

Nope, we can't, because it's NEVER "another month or two." I am old enough to remember when we were told we were shutting down to "flatten the curve" and "prevent the hospitals from being overloaded." Well, the curve is flattened and the hospitals never overloaded. The goal posts just keep moving. Next it's going to be "well, ppl with underlying medical conditions and old people and service workers are vaccinated, but there's no vax for kids!! Can't you just wait two more months until all of the kids are vaxed?" No. Cut the BS.

People with underlying conditions AREN'T vaccinated!
Right, but once they are, we know that that's not going to be enough for the Lockdown Lovers.
OP here -- do you really think so? I find it impossible to believe that there are really some people who are so twisted mentally that they are actually enjoying this and wanting it to continue. Fortunately, I don't know any IRL so it's hard to imagine what kind of misery they must be in.
