It was incredible but very expensive.

Lol that’s so silly. I can point you to private homes with private beaches for a tiny fraction of that cost.
You are paying for the service not just the space.
Service for what? The whole point is to get away. To your own whole 4 acres? That you're sharing with several other suites? Pass, there are loads of private villas all over the world that come with staff for that price. And less.
Have you been to little palm? You are very worked up about this.

I am from England, I love that people think it is posh.
If you ever decide to visit again we will have our butler show you the less posh areas of England.
Compared to the majority of other countries in the world, England is “posh”. The British royalty is still intact, and in general Britains look more put together when they go out in public than the typical American. There are castles and gardens. People are polite and queue for everything in an orderly manner. I’ve lived there, yes I know there are dodgy areas and people of different social classes there, but as a whole, I agree that England is a “posh” place to visit.
I don't think theemoji nearly conveys the strength of my reaction to this post. Did you "live there" for a semester in college?? That's sure what it sounds like. "Britains" and "dodgy," get out of here.
This whole thread is pretty cringe-inducing, but seriously, this reply just induces more snickering.
Yeah, I have to agree. I almost spit out my coffee when I read this. I can't decide whether it's the inaccuracy of what's written or the tone. Both.
I might kind of agree with the PP. If you're in London and stick to where the Arabs and the Russian oligarch are, things are posher than in the US. In London you run into a whole lot more people who are dressed up. Like I won't go out to lunch without a proper outfit in London but here I'm not getting out of my leggings when I meet my friends for lunch.

Is Deia “posh”? I love it but wouldn’t have described it that way. I guess it’s way better than the uber touristy British vacation package areas there.![]()

I also love Jackson hole but don’t consider it posh.
I like Nantucket but always feel like an outsider so don’t love it.
Easy to feel like an outsider in New England.
