Depends on what kind of southern accent it is. Many send chills down my spine. I can just imagine the KKK robes and the police dogs.

Both southern and Brooklyn accents have been proven to make you appear less intelligent. Same with Valley Girl fry.
Jealous much!

What a bunch of snobs. And you probably declare yourself as really open minded and accepting. Unreal.
It’s actually been proven, PP. no one is saying we feel this way. There are countless studies on it. Calm down and look it up.

And writing it! Y’all piss me off with that.
Yep. All y’all suck.
(“all y’all” is plural for “y’all”, btw)

“All y’all” is silly, as “y’all” is a second-person plural form of address. It’s extremely useful, as English is otherwise lacking a second-person plural, and much more elegant than “youse guys” or whatever alternative is used in the North. It’s also gender neutral.

That's a matter of opinion. It makes people sound uneducated.
That's the stereotype and a matter of your opinion too.
No, sadly it’s been studied and the overwhelming impression both southern and New York accents give is that the speaker is less intelligent. It’s not opinion, it’s impression.
