Why? This makes no sense at all.

We only wake if there is a sport or other reason. On sundays he can sleep til whenever (although it’s mostly not past 11).
Why is your teen going to bed at 11? Bedtime for us has always been 7:30. Won’t change unless there is a lot of homework. Typically only a few times a year it has to be later because of homework.
Your TEEN goes to bed at 7:30?

Make sure to take the phone away so they fall asleep at a reasonable hour, too.

It’s not good for him to be sleeping in 4-5 hours later than they normally wake up.
Also, they will have trouble falling asleep if they wake up too late. Mine need to go to sleep by 11 or max 11:30 on weekends.

It's better than my mother waking me up at 7 am on Saturday and Sundays, forcing me to jog even in the rain in order to avoid becoming obese.
Anonymous wrote:My mom used to wake me up by 9am playing a bugle. It's seriously one of my worst memories of her and pisses me off to this day. She had this policy even on the summers I spent at her house while I was in college. I was always a good daughter, student and did all the chores she wanted, so it was ridiculous that I couldn't sleep in on the weekend. In high school, I had to be at the bus stop at 5:55 am and always felt sleep deprived no matter what I did.
