Accepted for 9th! Really impressed with FH admissions process all the way through!
Same here! Proud new Husky family!! Flint Hill School was our first choice among co-ed private high schools in NoVA as it met all our requirements. Location and logistics were also important to us since I live and work in NoVA and have no desire to spend hours in traffic commuting to and from school and work. That narrowed the list and eliminated a lot of schools in DC and MD, as well as "non" co-ed (or same-sex) schools. We also eliminated FCPS high schools because the class sizes are way over-crowded (30+ students compared to 18 per class). Potomac School was our LAST choice because I hate their mandatory busing policy (inconvenient). Potomac is also eliminating the Advanced Placement Program.

You're correct. It is everyone's safety school.
Well, I don't consider it a safety school at all. I think it has a lot to offer. Mine was rejected by FHS for 9th, but got into a couple that are better regarded academically, including Potomac. Sometimes it can be hard to tell what they are looking for in a DC.
Same here, same grade. We don’t know what they were looking for but its not a huge deal as we hadn’t planned on going there anyway.
