I once saw a bumper sticker that read “I’m not fat, I’m fluffy” I did that double honk thing.

Used to be in my early/mid 20s. But I have a very attractive face. Have never had an issue getting a date and being in LTRs.

That's it. I'm 50. I'm a size 4-6. My mom asked me on the phone a few weeks ago if I was chubby. Ug. She had to comment on my weight indirectly every time she sees me. I see myself doing the same thing with my kids. I don't want to!

This has been my experience, too. I don't have hordes of men beating down my door or anything, but I've never had a problem getting dates. And because I know someone is thinking it -- no, I have not only dated other fat people. Probably most of the guys I've dated have been average weight. In my experience, there is a significant minority of men (I would estimate about 20%, but I'm pulling that statistic out of my ass) who are either attracted to a wide variety of body sizes or (a smaller group) actively prefer larger bodies.

I have been many different sizes and it’s sad but true that it was so much easier to find guys who were interested in me when I was smaller. It pisses me off how many, many people in lots of situations were nicer to me when I fit the standard of “thin.”

My life anecdote to counter yours is a mix pretty healthy mix. More than 'overweight' I think the common thread in those friends of mine is a combination of low self esteem (in thin and heavier women), over enmeshment with their families and honestly, bad luck.

I like a woman with a little bit of a belly. It's cute and a soft place to lay my head. If that extra fat helps round out her butt a little, all the better. Beyond that, it's excessive and not attractive at all. To me. Butt you shouldn't care what I think. I have male friends who only like larger women of the type I'd never want. Those guys tend to be pretty large themselves.
